The supplier for indoor positioning interconnects its tools in an overlapping platform.
The indoor positioning software tools of infsoft GmbH are now even more concentrated in a common platform. The “infsoft LocAware platform®” generates added values from the position data through intelligent links, improves interfaces to third-party systems and evolves into an Internet of Things platform.
Großmehring, November 28, 2016. Indoor positioning is a trend and more and more companies are offering their customers location-based services, indoor navigation, tracking or analytics. Most of these softwares are isolated solutions that are limited to displaying the current position of a person or item as a blue dot in a map. With the new LocAware platform® ( “Location Awareness”) infsoft GmbH now takes a step further and develops it into a holistic Internet of Things platform.
First, the infsoft tools were integrated bit by bit into a common platform. With one single login, customers can access the web-based tools, manage their location, create and calibrate routes, manage devices, infsoft Locator Nodes and beacons, create geotriggers and view all current analysis data. The tools are user-friendly and display the data in clear, customizable dashboards.
To enable customers to benefit more from the data, infsoft continues to follow its “smart-connected locations” approach: the platform collects, integrates, connects, prepares and provides location based data (devices and geographic information). All tools used for indoor positioning are interlinked. The data obtained are linked and new added value is created. The infsoft LocAware platform® can be accessed with only one login.
One example: In a large office building runways should be analyzed anonymously and the number of persons in certain areas should be measured. From these data, the system can close which meeting rooms are already occupied and suggest an alternative to book, which in turn is linked to indoor navigation for the employees. In addition, the elevator control can be adapted in such a way that it reacts flexibly to the number of persons in different storeys. This approach can be classified as “Connected Building” or “Connected Enterprise” approach. Other areas of application are retail, factory security, personalized advertising as well as asset tracking in production and transportation.
