infsoft Locator Nodes
The infsoft Locator Nodes Tool is used for the centralized management and configuration of Locator Node hardware within a site project. It enables structured organization, monitoring, and control of all deployed devices, supporting efficient commissioning and ongoing operation. The intuitive user interface offers comprehensive features for status monitoring, firmware management, and error handling – both for individual devices and entire device groups.
Device & group management
In the infsoft Locator Nodes Tool, deployed Locator Nodes are registered on a project-specific basis and organized using group-based management structures. For each group, global parameters such as Wi-Fi credentials, upload intervals, and notification settings can be defined.
The integrated dashboard displays all Locator Nodes with their current operational status in a clear overview, enabling centralized control of the entire device deployment.
Real-time scans & historical data
For each Locator Node, current scan data from integrated sensors (e.g., Wi-Fi, BLE) can be analyzed in real time. In addition to tabular overviews, a map-based view is available, visualizing the collected location data.
Historical scan data can also be accessed and analyzed to track location patterns or signal changes. This provides a valuable foundation for performance analysis and troubleshooting.
Status monitoring & alerts
The system notifies users of failures or communication interruptions of individual Locator Nodes and provides various views for troubleshooting.
Automatic notifications can be flexibly configured – for example via email or system alerts – and respond to defined events such as network outages or battery failures. Additionally, the tool provides status reports on connection types (Wi-Fi, Ethernet) and data usage.
Custom configurations &
add-ons
Integrated add-ons allow additional functions, such as firmware updates, reboots, or location changes, to be triggered directly. This enables precise control of individual Locator Nodes without the need for physical access on-site.
The intuitive user interface ensures easy handling, even for complex configuration tasks, allowing operators to adapt devices at any time to specific requirements or project conditions.

The infsoft Locator Nodes Tool is fully integrated into the infsoft LocAware platform®, ensuring that data such as device status, network information, and location data is automatically synchronized.
