infsoft E-Inks
The infsoft E-Inks tool enables the central registration, management, and control of all installed E-Ink Display Beacons – including both stationary infrastructure displays and mobile tag hardware. In addition to manual configuration of individual displays, the tool offers extensive features for battery monitoring, firmware maintenance, and automated content updates, for example in combination with booking systems or process management tools.
Registration & management
New E-Ink Displays can be registered and existing components managed through the user interface. In addition to technical basic data such as MAC address, installation location, or configuration, custom settings can be applied.
The tool is suitable for both initial commissioning and ongoing maintenance of the display infrastructure, providing a consistent overview of all deployed devices, including status information and operational data.
Battery monitoring & maintenance
The battery status of each E-Ink display is continuously tracked in the tool and can be accessed at any time. Using filtering and sorting functions, devices with low battery levels can be identified and prioritized for maintenance tasks.
This allows replacement cycles to be planned and documented efficiently, ensuring operational reliability and the long-term availability of the installed systems.
OTA firmware updates
Firmware updates can be initiated directly from the tool and are transmitted Over-the-Air (OTA) to the respective E-Ink hardware, eliminating the need for physical access to individual devices.
This feature enables fast, centralized updates of the entire display fleet – regardless of installation location – ensuring that all devices are always running on the latest software version.
Automated content management
In combination with infsoft Automation, E-Ink display content can be fully updated automatically. Custom rules – for example, based on calendar or booking data – dynamically control what is shown, ensuring context-aware and timely display updates.
The displays thus act as intelligent interfaces between digital data streams and on-site visual communication – ideal for environments with frequent information changes or dynamic room occupancy.
E-Ink Template Designer
The Template Designer enables the configuration and reuse of SVG-based layouts for various display sizes. Content is automatically populated from platform or third-party systems, while a built-in preview function provides instant visual control.
Templates can be adapted and activated at any time, ensuring flexible and efficient use of E-Ink displays across a wide range of scenarios – from room signage to booking or occupancy displays.
E-Ink Resource Management
The infsoft E-Ink solution provides an intuitive interface for the centralized management of all E-Ink Display Beacons within a project. It combines precise device administration with automated workflows, making it a key component of intelligent signage and information systems.
As part of the infsoft LocAware platform®, it enables seamless integration with positioning and room booking systems – supporting efficient, connected, and sustainable building solutions.
