infsoft Locator Beacons
The infsoft Locator Beacons tool enables the registration, management, and monitoring of all Locator Beacon hardware deployed within a building. It provides an intuitive interface for planning, assignment, and technical control of the beacon infrastructure, supporting both the commissioning process and ongoing operations.
Overview & management of installed Locator Beacons
All deployed Locator Beacons are centrally recorded in the tool and clearly displayed within the stored building structure. In addition to the exact position, each beacon can be assigned a room or area reference (Area ID), for example for floors or defined usage zones.
This creates a complete and transparent representation of the beacon infrastructure within the building. Through the integrated dashboard, status information such as battery life or signal activity can be viewed and managed at any time.
Planning & positioning within the building
The tool supports precise placement and assignment of beacons within the building structure. Each beacon can be linked to a specific area, room, or Locator Node, ensuring a clear association within the overall installation.
This guarantees a consistent location overview, which can be utilized in both map views and report formats – ideal for projects with a large number of beacon installations.
Monitoring, maintenance & status displays
The infsoft Locator Beacons Tool enables continuous monitoring of all installed devices. Battery status, signal strength, and firmware version can be retrieved in real time. Based on this information, maintenance cycles can be planned precisely.
In addition, over-the-air firmware updates are supported, allowing efficient maintenance and updates without the need for physical access.
Registration of AI Occupancy
Sensors
AI Occupancy Sensors and other hardware components can also be registered via the Locator Beacons Tool. After registration, the system performs automatic initial configuration and assigns each device to the corresponding sensor network.
This integration ensures that new sensors become immediately visible within the system environment and that their measurement data is automatically transferred to the associated application upon activation.
Individual identification & management
Each beacon can be identified via a unique QR code containing its MAC address, enabling quick assignment during installation or ongoing operation.
The system also supports the addition of project-specific parameters such as signal intervals, room types, or beacon groups, allowing it to be flexibly adapted to a wide range of project requirements.
