infsoft Maps Editor

The infsoft Maps Editor is your first step when setting up an indoor positioning system. You can create your location with just a few clicks and then easily manage it afterwards at any time. In the infsoft Maps Editor you can set up outlines of the building, rooms and custom patterns, define points of interest (POI), contextual pathway-relations and much more. The created location is used in all other georeferenced tools of infsoft.

Creation of Indoor/Outdoor Maps

With the infsoft Maps Editor, blue prints can be easily adapted to the outline plan of any external provider. The floor plan on the different levels is projected as a separate layer onto the background map. By linking outdoor and indoor maps, all coordinates (areas, rooms, distances) on all floors are GPS-referenced and WGS84-compliant. The coordinates contain latitude, longitude and floor level.

2D/3D maps with definable properties

Areas and rooms can be defined as polygons in the infsoft Maps Editor using the drawing tools. Points of Interest (POIs) as well as different properties (patterns) can be assigned. Patterns can include e.g. coloring, 2D/3D view behavior including different heights or the visualization in definable zoom levels.

POI Management

Points of Interests in different categories with various properties are managed in the infsoft Maps Editor. Within the pattern, you can specify the required information, e. g. a service facility with opening times and image sliders, can be defined and changed at any time. All POIs are also available in infsoft CMS for easy batch processing.

Contextual pathway-relations

The definition of path relationships for the navigation of users within the building levels is a built-in feature of the infsoft Maps Editor. In addition to route weights, bi- and unidirectional path diagrams and connections between the floors, additional profile properties can also be stored. This can include, for example, barrier-free routing with different gradings (wheelchair, luggage trolley, buggy).

Landmark POIs for turn-by-turn navigation

Turn-by-turn instructions facilitate orientation for the user in the building and include prominent waypoints (e. g. exposed Points of Interests) in the infrastructure. Landmark POIs and crossroads where directions are to be indicated ("Please turn left") can be maintained in the infsoft Maps Editor and supplemented by image-based navigation (e. g. display of 360° images).
