infsoft Locator Node Dongle
The infsoft Locator Node Dongle enables precise localization of people and assets using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
In addition, it functions as a gateway for infrastructure components such as infsoft Locator Beacons and infsoft E-Ink Display hardware. Alongside BLE 5, it also supports BLE 6 Channel Sounding, delivering significantly higher positioning accuracy compared to earlier BLE versions.
The dongle is equipped with two BLE radio interfaces, allowing transmission and reception processes as well as sniffering functionalities to run in parallel. While previous versions handled scanning and sending sequentially, the dongle now performs these tasks simultaneously – resulting in optimized data processing, improved performance, and faster response times.
Network connectivity is established via Wi-Fi. The infsoft Locator Node Dongle can be powered through any standard USB power source, such as access points or monitors. This enables quick and straightforward installation, as well as flexible scaling and densification as needed.
As a result of the low installation and maintenance requirements, the use of the infsoft Locator Node Dongle leads to a significant reduction in total cost of ownership compared to alternative solutions.

infsoft Locator Node PoE
While the infsoft Locator Node Dongle is limited to a network connection via WLAN, the infsoft Locator Node PoE can be connected via Wi-Fi as well as Ethernet (PoE). Similar to the Locator Node Dongle, this wired gateway hardware enables the tracking of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) tags for both assets and people. Smart devices equipped with Bluetooth can also be identified.
The integration into the infsoft LocAware platform® enables a wide range of application scenarios. These include tracking solutions, analysis functionalities and process automation.
In order to determine the position of an asset or a person, the Locator Node PoE collects the data it receives from a transmitter and forwards the information to the infsoft LocAware platform®. This is where the data is processed and the location of the transmitter is determined.
