Recap: The 3rd infsoft Community Day at Roche in Penzberg
On October 5, the 3rd infsoft Community Day took place at our customer Roche in Penzberg. Participants gathered at the LEAP building to exchange insights on the latest developments, innovative solutions and exciting use cases. The event focused on both laboratory environments and modern office spaces, exploring how digital connectivity can enhance these settings.
In the evening, a joint get-together at GRASECK in Garmisch-Partenkirchen brought the day to a successful close. In a relaxed atmosphere, participants had the opportunity to get to know one another, share ideas and round off the Community Day together.
Insights into Innovative Solutions and Practical Applications

The event kicked off with a presentation titled “What’s New?” by infsoft CEO Tobias Donaubauer.
He provided an overview of the latest developments, new ideas, and innovations at infsoft. He also offered insights into the upcoming CampusOS and outlined its planned further development through to completion.

Next, Torsten Offergeld, Laboratory Strategy Head at Roche Diagnostics GmbH, addressed the question: “Laboratory Excellence – What Does It Mean?”
His presentation explored the strategic direction and significance of Laboratory Excellence, highlighting the underlying approaches and objectives and their role in creating efficient, future-oriented laboratory environments.

The main focus of the Community Day was the LEAP construction project. Stephan Einenkel, Senior Project Engineer Building Automation at Roche Diagnostics GmbH, introduced the project and provided practical insights during a subsequent guided tour.
A key feature of the LEAP building is the integration of laboratory and office environments. The aim is to create optimal working conditions while fostering interaction, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.

The event concluded with various IoT use cases from laboratory and production environments that are already being successfully implemented at other Roche sites.
Nireas Koletsos, Product Manager IoT Platform & Ecosystem at Roche Diagnostics International AG, presented a range of use cases, demonstrating how IoT technologies are being applied today. The examples highlighted the potential of connected systems to optimize processes and further develop digital work environments.
Evening Networking Event at GRASECK
