PROBLEM DEFINITION

Regular cleaning and disinfection of workplaces is more important than ever. In this context, demand-oriented cleaning is preferable to periodic cleaning for several reasons. On the one hand, the available resources can be focused on the relevant cleaning tasks, and on the other hand, it can be ensured that recently used rooms and workspaces are disinfected before being used by a different person.

SOLUTION

By using an occupancy analysis based on sensor systems, it is possible to determine whether individual workstations and meeting rooms are currently occupied and whether they have been in use since the last time they were cleaned.

Based on the occupancy analysis, cleaning staff can check which rooms and workspaces require cleaning. In this way, only desks and rooms that were actually used are cleaned and disinfected again.

VergeSense and XOVIS sensors

Sensors from VergeSense or XOVIS are mounted on the ceiling above the workstations. One sensor can cover four desks. In a meeting room, multiple sensors are installed depending on the size of the room and the number of seats.

The data is transferred to the infsoft LocAware platform® via an interface. The referencing of the sensor data to the building plans takes place in infsoft CMS. The occupancy statistics are displayed within infsoft Analytics. The cleaning staff can then access the processed data via a mobile application.

An alternative to third-party sensor systems is the use of Bluetooth Low Energy beacons with motion sensors, which are attached to chairs. The highly sensitive motion sensor registers whether a workstation is occupied or vacant. Via infsoft Locator Nodes 1400, the data is sent to the infsoft LocAware platform® where it is then processed.
