PROBLEM DEFINITION

Whether in a railway station, an airport or a shopping mall – on an area of several hundred square metres, several cleaning machines are in motion to clean the floor. The requirement for the tracking solution is that the position, movement paths and condition of the plastering machines can be viewed on a digital map at any time in order to guarantee a smooth process.

SOLUTION

The cleaning machines are localized via indoor tracking. The employees have access to the current positions and can continuously monitor and control all movements as well as status information (e. g. location, downtimes, maintenance intervals) of the cleaning machines.

The cleaning machines are equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beaconsinfsoft Locator Nodes are installed on the site, which receive the signals from the beacons and forward them to the infsoft LocAware platform®, where the position is calculated and displayed in customizable dashboards (server-side procedure). As meaningful key figures, e. g. route information (live and historical), number of journeys per day/shift, meters traveled and hours traveled per day/shift can be collected.
