A recent study shows: digital services such as mobile navigation are much sought after by clients of shopping centers.
Indoor positioning in retail is on the advance and offers a lot of added value for everybody involved. Especially in large shopping centers, digital services are sought after. This is the result of a recent study by ECE, a large German project manager for shopping centers and other properties. The extensive survey shows – from a client’s perspective – which services are important for customers of shopping centers now, what they await and which offers and services are able to surprise and inspire them.
In the field of digital services, the following results are very interesting:
- two thirds of the visitors inform themselves about the center via app and website before the visit
- arrival services (84%) and information on-site (86%) are highly relevant
- customers who arrive with the car (over 50%) are very interested in being assisted by a parking guidance system and paying contactless
- each fourth client wants to use a 3D guidance system (indoor navigation), among people under 40 it is even each third
